First of all i really enjoy the soundtrack to Big Fish, there are some really catchy songs in it. my favourite song would have to be “Red white and true” the song that the Red white and true girls sing during a show for the American soldiers who are at war, which is part of one of Edward Blooms stories that he tells to the boy scouts on a camping trip. This is such a cute little song its also very catchy and I catch myself humming the tune often. The way I had envisioned this song was basically the way that we had performed it. Edward and the scouts of to a corner of the stage, the red white and true girls in the front when doing their dance and Red Fang chasing Edward and the General around bobbing and weaving through the girls while they dance.
My least favourite song would have to be the “Alabama lambs” song, The song that Sandra sings with a few of her girlfriends to audition for the Callaway Circus which is where Edward sees Sandra for the first time before breaking out in “time stops”. Its kinda too cheesy for my liking, but the way that we did it in the musical with the tap dancers and the three singing was really awesome and kind made me like it a little more.
